Meet the Maker: Say Hello to Promilla!
Promilla's Story:
Promilla has been with us from the beginning, way back when our socks were floating around in a galaxy far, far away . . . Or pretty much!
She’s from a small village called Sajla where she lives with her husband, son, and mother-in-law. Their traditional house is made of mud, cow dung, and slate. Promilla is the main income-earner in her family. Her husband drives a taxi, but due to COVID is unable to find work.
At Fazl she's the centre manager; her duties include distributing wool, liaisoning with our many artisans and team (in three languages!) and inspecting Fazl products.
HOW HAS FAZL MADE A DIFFERENCE?
In her own words: I’ve been able to support my family by providing food, funds for my son’s education, and purchasing things that need to be replaced at home. The biggest change is that I’m also able to support my three sisters with what I have and with what I can.
WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT HER
Promilla is one of the most faithful and kind people we’ve ever met. Her gentle spirit and incredible work ethic are a blessing to all who encounter her. If you’re wearing a Fazl product it’s likely Promilla has touched it
