Meet the Maker: Say Hello to Manu!

Manu's Story

Where are you from?

I'm from Nepal. My father brought me to India in 1999 to admit me to a boarding school.

How did you join Fazl?
Before working for Fazl, I was a housewife. I couldn't look for a job as I had a small son to care for. Later, I learned how Fazl employs ladies like me who can stay at home to work, that's when I thought about joining Fazl.

What do you make for Fazl?
I knit hats, socks and scarves.

How do you help other ladies?
I take orders and distribute wool among other artisans.

What is your favourite part of working for Fazl?
My favourite part of Fazl is that everyone works together in unity and also I'm fond of knitting.

What we love about Manu:
We love that Manu works faithfully in her village with other artisans, helping and teaching them. Be on the look out for some of our new Fazl slippers this fall, it's likely Manu and her team made them!

PAMPERED FEET

"These gorgeous socks are keeping my feet toasty warm and bringing a smile to my face. I wear them to bed and when I hunker down to read. It's great that they do good, as well as feel good."
